The progress of the IRC's core scientific programmes is regularly monitored, and subject to detailed peer review.

The Executive Group is drawn from the staff of the IRC. The committee oversees the organisation of the IRC's research and knowledge transfer activities, and provides advice to members to assist the development of new programmes:

The Research Group The function of the Research group is to look at current areas of activity, pin-point multidisciplinary topics and develop research proposals.
