You can input words or short phrases into the keyword searches. The search will locate all members with an exact match for the entire term entered if this term appears anywhere in their lists of interests.

You can add two keyword terms, by default the logic is AND, so polymer AND NMR will find any member with both words listed amongst their skills. You can also use the OR option in the keyword search, for example if you are unsure of a spelling (e.g. sulfur vs. sulphur) and want to be sure of catching all references within the database. Searches are not case sensitive.

You can use the name and/or location search independently of the keyword search, to get contact details for people whose names/locations you already know.

If you include a skill search keyword and a name/location (other than 'any IRC institute') the search logic is AND. Thus a search for 'polymer', 'Will', 'Bradford' will find people at Bradford with the name Will (or Williams or Willis) with the word polymer (or polymeric etc.) appearing in the descriptions of their interests.
