The
Polymer CIC
The Polymer
CIC, in the world-class IRC polymer engineering laboratories, is a centre
of research excellence for advanced materials processing, especially
polymers, and computer modelling of processes and products, plus material
and product characterisation. It offers R&D solutions, long
and short term projects for companies of all sizes, and a gateway to
its extensive networks of companies and academic groups. It aims
to help companies with their R&D, particularly regional companies but
not exclusively so: UK and international projects are also being run.

The
Team
Phil Coates, head of the IRC in Polymer
Science & Technology, Bradford, leads a team of around 30 researchers,
including leading academics, highly skilled research engineers and technicians.
We run several major collaborative UK research programmes and Networks, involving
16 Universities and over 50 companies, and were awarded the Institute of
Materials Netlon Gold Medal for Innovation in Polymer Processing, 1999.
